The Fall/Winter of Bread & Butter returned to Berlin last month as the 2nd time the international trade show was back to its home town after previously taking place in Barcelona.
Located at the Platz de Luftbrucke, the new home for B&B now is the old Berlin Airport Templehof - a giant curving semi-circle building that consists of separate themes :
SPORT & STREET - Skate & sneaker brands
STREET FASHION - Youth design inspired brands
FASHION NOW - Conceptual & experimental brands
STYLE SOCIETY - A celebrity tinged roster of brands
DENIM BASE - Double-sized hall featuring denim brands
URBAN SUFERIOR - Contemporary urban collections
L.O.C.K. (Labels of Common Kin) - Authenticity & vintage theme
Commercial viability is the key focus this season at B&B, with F/W 2010-11 trends looking safer, cleaner with a soft rock or nod to military element.

Biker looks with bold biker detailing, quilting, padding, contouring & stitching.
Leather remain important, with new jersey interpretations of biker detailing.
Military still evident, nevertheless brands begin moving to college/varsity looks with subtle emblems and patterns.
Faux-fur linings and workwear silhouettes, as well as lumberjacks checks with ginghams/ticking stripes.
Menswear
Brands are pushing knitwear as key pieces replacing outerwear.
Varsity/Collegiate elements.
Military and workwear with cargos and utilitarian looks.
Railroad and loco jackets in raw or authentic vintage washes.
Brands are looking at their own heritage and archives for inspiration; worker details are coming back
Cargo, a huge story offering cargo pants & styling.
Colour range - army green to chino, sand & mustard shades.
